Sun Moon Lake Hotel - Yuchi

I got really good value for my money with a spacious room boasting a fine view and a large, comfortable bed. The staff was helpful and friendly, making my experience enjoyable.

The morning meal could use a few more Western options.

All of the staff were VERY FRIENDLY, attentive. The breakfast of the hotel restaurant was marvellous and sensational with medium quality ingredients.

Everything was simply wonderful. The hotel was fairly clean with amicable and exceptionally nice staff at check-out. Location: the property was just off the lake circling pedestrian path for jogging, the Sun Moon Lake Visitors' Centre and a restaurant at Taichung.

We stayed for one night at this lovely hotel while exploring the beautiful surroundings. The spacious Deluxe Family Room was a standout, featuring a serene onsen bath and a charming ryokan design that enhanced our experience. The staff were helpful—Roger even assisted with my torn shoe and gave great shoe shopping advice. We loved the complimentary bikes for riding around the lake and appreciated the delicious breakfast spread with both local and western options.

I do recommend this hotel.

Overall excellent location close enough to the mountain side, the restaurant and Shuishe. Also, to bike trail.

I had an amazing stay at the hotel; the room was spacious, clean, and had a fine view of the lake from the balcony. The staff were great too help me feel comfortable and valued, making our experience even better.

The food for breakfast could use a bit more variety each day.

This is a hotel go-to for Yuchi! Very very helpful personnel is at check-out. The rooms are great-sized and huge and have incredibly beautiful views of the lake. The location is particularly good and magnificent, 10 minutes' walk to Longfeng Temple. And it's a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. The restaurant serves light Asian food;))

We had such a great time at this lakeside hotel! The location is awesome-just a short walk to the city center and close to the wharf for catching ferries. Everything was clean, and I loved the spacious room with a huge Jacuzzi. The complimentary bike rental was a fantastic perk; we enjoyed exploring the beautiful bike trails around the lake. Plus, the breakfast spread was delicious, catering to everyone's tastes!

great view but could improve on noise levels

The mountain view from our Premier family room was amazing, offering fine sunrise views! The breakfast buffet featured a great variety of dishes, from fresh pastries to delicious local treats. We also appreciated the easy access to biking trails, perfect for a family adventure.

The location near the main road caused some noise disturbances .

The hotel is perfect location near Shueishe Pier, great to easily enjoy scenic views and local activities. The large family room with a fine lake view was a hit, especially for our toddler who loved the tatami setup. Breakfast was a good surprise with plenty of options.

In my wife's opinion, the bathroom could use better ventilation. A suggestion would be adding a towel rack near the shower for families with kids.

The tatami style room was spacious and perfect for our family of 5, with a large jacuzzi bath. We enjoyed riding the complimentary bicycles along the scenic paths right outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet changed daily and was a real highlight for us, with delicious local dishes.

The room was spacious, with a fine view of the lake and a well-designed bathroom with a large jacuzzi bath. The complimentary bicycles allowed us to explore the beautiful paths around the lake, and the breakfast buffet was delectable, with freshly made dishes. One area for improvement could be to enhance the variety of western breakfast options.

Oh man, the food here was on another level! From the good breakfast spread to local gems like Sunny Lake Wonder close by, I feasted like royalty. Did I mention the complimentary bicycles made it easy to explore the fine paths? Oh, and the amazing view from my Twin Room with Lake View really took the cake!
